Click any word to jump to that pointThis is the story of when Andy Marulis and me Gerry Gianutsos went to NYU to clean out my father's office John Gianutsos He died on January 20th 2020 I'm sorry 2008
Right now it's January 20th 2026 so 18 years but so anyway Andy died a couple of days ago as well and it's made me think of a lot of these stories
So anyway after he died at about 3 40 3 46 p m that day that night Andy and I realized we should go into his office at NYU to make sure that we didn't know what they were going to do whether they were going to lock it down or if there was going to be some bureaucratic nonsense to try to get to his private stuff that was there and data and stuff like that too you know he had a lot of research and whatever but anyway so we went in and took pictures off the walls and personal stuff that you know a couple of huge backpacks we had and a bag or two and we went in and I was thinking to myself there's no way we're getting outside of this hospital without getting hassled or hey what are you doing kind of thing and it's all going to unravel and Andy said let's go the way he always could and just hustled right out the front door down and out the front door and I'm sitting there sweating and I realized as I'm
going by the guard station there's about there had to be five or seven security guards standing around the guard station and of course they were watching the Giants playoff game and Eli Manning was having a game of his career at that point and I think it was a big comeback but anyway they were all held up with that and we went right through
So today being today I thought I would you know I'm thinking of Andy I'm thinking of my dad and those were the days
